We represent one of the most honorable organizations both nationally and at Stuyvesant. Our emphasis on public-speaking, self-expression and confidence isn't only aimed at training national competitors and finalists; it's aimed at training future leaders. This team represents a second family for every single one of us.

The 2015 National Grand Event (NCFL Qualifier)

Stuyvesant will host the NCFL qualifier tournament on March 7th, 2015. Please see the following message from Mr. Hirsch, our event coordinator, and help us in any way you can. 


Dear Fellow Student/Parent,

The 2015 Stuyvesant High School Speech and Debate Grand Event is soon approaching, and hosting an event of this magnitude requires a great deal of parent participation. To that extent, we have created a special food, beverage and supply sign-up sheet on the website “PerfectPotLuck.com” so that parents and supporters can voluntarily contribute much needed items for this Annual Event on Saturday, March 7th from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM in the school’s 5th floor cafeteria. The Grand Event determines qualifications for the National Catholic Forensic League tournament, and as the host school, it is our responsibility to be well prepared for such an important tournament.  

Please visit www.perfectpotluck.com and look for the “Find A Meal” section. You’ll need the Meal Coordinator’s Last Name (HIRSCH) and the Password (3400)

As soon as you click search, you will see a detailed list of items that we will need to make the Grand Event a success. Please select the item(s) you wish to contribute along with your first and last name, email address and/or a contact number in case we need to contact you on the day of the event. 

In addition, we are looking for volunteers to come to the school to help with both the Breakfast (7AM until 10:30 AM) and Lunch (11AM until 3PM) food and beverage service for both the Judges and Stuyvesant Speech and Debate Team Members. Thus, please plan accordingly to the times above when delivering the item or items you have selected to contribute. We will have access to the school’s kitchen for both some light cooking on the industrial stove, and cooking or reheating of hot dishes in the industrial ovens, and storing of cold items in both the walk-in and free standing refrigerators.

Finally, we ask that you check back weekly on PerfectPotLuck.com website leading up to the event to see how we are doing in reaching our goal of 100% participation and what items are still needed.
