We represent one of the most honorable organizations both nationally and at Stuyvesant. Our emphasis on public-speaking, self-expression and confidence isn't only aimed at training national competitors and finalists; it's aimed at training future leaders. This team represents a second family for every single one of us.

New York City Invitational 2014

Our team just returned from the New York City Invitational (our one national just a subway ride away!) with incredible results! Congratulations to everyone who competed and placed this weekend. You faced an extremely competitive pool of national competitors and you performed remarkably well.

Duo Interpretation:

Rishika Jikaria and Danielle Hahami — Semifinalist

 

Extemporaneous Speaking:

Alexander Hirsch — Quarterfinalist

 

Humorous Interpretation:

Kate Johnston — Semifinalist

 

Legislative Debate (Congressional Debate):

Dennis Nenov — 9th!!!

Benedict Bolton — 10th!!!

Asher Lasday — Semifinalist

 

Prose and Poetry (Oral Interpretation):

Alec Dai — 4th!!!

Maggie Gutmann — Quarterfinalist

 

Public Forum:

Jakob Urda & Ben Kessler — Quarterfinalists

Zachary Ginsberg & Lorenz Vargas — Octafinalists

Out of more than 400 teams, Jakob Urda won 2nd Speaker and Ben Kessler won 13th Speaker.
